Henry and Les are looking forward to returning to Kardomah94 in order to celebrate the release of their forthcoming duo album “Six of One & Half a Dozen of the Other”. It’s always a joy for Henry to play in the city of his birth, and if the last two gigs he’s done in 2015 and 2016 are anything to go by, this should be a wonderful evening.
Henry & Les will be joined by their backing band “The Men of a Certain Age”, and as well as songs from the new album, they will no doubt be featuring the odd song from Henry’s 40 year music career (with Yachts & The Christians), plus songs from Henry & Les’ solo albums.
In 2009, Henry (who wrote all those hits for The Christians in the 80’s, and Yachts’ songs in the 70’s) reinvented himself as a singer-songwriter, and released his debut solo CD “The Chronicles of Modern Life” to critical acclaim, and singles from the album (including “Grey’s The New Blonde”) made it onto the Radio 2 playlist. 2014 saw the release of Henry’s 2nd album
“The Last Mad Surge of Youth”, which garnered Henry the best reviews he’s had in 37 years of releasing records. (See below what they say about the last album).
Henry & Les have been playing together live for the last four years (Henry produced Les’ 2015 album “The Love Terrorist”
